What is the Delivery Area?
We are happy to ship anywhere you are, or need to be! Need a gift sent to an event you are attending? Just give us a call at 866.301.9635 M-F, 10 – 5 Eastern Time and we are happy to help you.
For Domestic orders: We are able to deliver items within the Continental United States. Hawaii and Alaska require additional shipping charges, so just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you want and we will place your order for you and add the shipping charges. Since we use FedEx and UPS for most items, we are unable to accept orders sent to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. For U.S. territories, please call 866.301.9635 M-F, 10 – 5 Eastern Time or email us at email@example.com for shipping terms.
For International orders: We are able to accept orders from outside the US and Modernseed will do its best to accommodate international requests. We charge actual shipping costs per FedEx or UPS. Please email us with your order at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will obtain the actual shipping charges and let you know before placing your order.
Please note: Due to size, most furniture items cannot be shipped internationally.
Also note: All customs, duties and tariffs are the responsibility of the customer. To assure quick arrival times, items ordered together may not arrive in the same box.
Orders placed by 12 noon EST Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) will ship from our warehouse within 2-3 business days. Express shipments can be quoted for Next day, 2-day or 3-day air. Please call us at 866.301.9635 M-F, 10 – 5 Eastern Time for the shipping rates on any rush orders.
Furniture items are shipped via Freight/Ground. Please note that items shipping via Freight are for curbside delivery only. Please contact us via email at email@example.com or call us at 866.301.9635 M-F, 10 – 5 Eastern Time for inside delivery charges and/or “white glove” delivery.
Additional freight charges may also apply for orders from certain vendors. Whenever possible, those charges are noted on the product pages when placing your order as “additional freight” or “over-size item”.
Out of Stock Policy?
We do our best to keep our products in stock. However, sometimes demand exceeds our expectations, or a supplier has an unanticipated delay. We appreciate your understanding and patience. If your selected merchandise is out of stock, we will inform you immediately upon receipt of your order. We will also inform you, via email, when the anticipated shipping date is.

What is your return/exchange policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Modernseed. You may return your merchandise within 30 days from date of receipt for a refund or exchange. After 30 days, we will provide a store credit for returns. All items must be returned unused and in the original packaging. Please Note: Mealtime dinnerware, cups, and other food related pieces, as well as bedding that has been opened, are non-refundable. If your item appears to have shipping damage, please contact us immediately upon receipt so that we may replace the damaged item and pursue a claim with the shipper. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please Note: All sale items are non-refundable. Due to health regulations, we cannot accept returns on any bedding item.
How do I make a return/exchange?
To make a return or exchange simply email our Returns Service department within the 30-day guarantee period to obtain a return authorization (RA) number. Please indicate the RA number on the outside of the packaging to ensure prompt processing. Your return must be accompanied by the receipt and must include your RA number. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, the customer bears the responsibility for return shipping costs. Returns need be well-packed and insured for the full price of the item. We recommend the return be sent via traceable method. We cannot guarantee a full refund without an RA number. After our 30 day guarantee period your return will be for store credit only.
How do I report damaged shipments?
Please contact us immediately so that we can process a claim and/or replacement. FedEx usually requires an inspection in the event of damage so please hold onto all packing materials and the item until further notice. Modernseed MUST be informed within 3 days of delivery of all damaged goods, or we cannot process a claim. Please inspect all deliveries thoroughly upon arrival.
Do I pay sales taxes on my purchases?
New York residents will have sales tax automatically added to their order. If Modernseed is not collecting your state's taxes, you are expected to comply with your state's current laws regarding purchases over the Internet.
What if there is an error or inaccuracy?
The information on this website and/or in Modernseed's catalog may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We therefore reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). Please note that such errors, inaccuracies or omissions may relate to product description, pricing and availability. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
What if there is a change in pricing?
We work hard to ensure the accuracy of pricing. Despite our efforts, pricing errors may still occur. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
Why do I need cookies enabled to login or place an order?
Cookies allow us to maintain what is known as a "user session." A session allows us to track your progress through our site and ordering system via the cookie. Your cookie from our site expires once you turn off your browser.
